Our Lady of Mercy College is committed to child safety and is legally required to obtain the following information about a person whom it proposes to engage to perform child-connected work:
- Teachers must hold a Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
- Non - Teaching staff must hold an approved Working with Children Check (Employee Status) and obtain a new National Police Check.
- Proof of personal identity
- Certified copies of professional transcripts or other qualifications
- History of work with children
- Two to three references that address suitability for the role and working with children.
