Over the school holidays, Eliza C (11L4) competed in the Australian Swimming Age Championships in Brisbane. This was a huge achievement for Eliza. It was her first time qualifying for individual events at Nationals, after representing in the relays last year.
Competing at this level, against some of the fastest swimmers in the country for her age group, takes serious dedication, grit, and perseverance, along with the support of family, friends, and teachers.
Eliza raced in three events across the week: the 200m, 100m, and 50m breaststroke. She swam some impressive personal bests, and most notably finished 18th in the 200m and 23rd in the 100m breaststroke nationally.
A huge congratulations to Eliza - we’re all so proud of you!
